It’s going to be a short season this year (and who knows how long it will last), but as long as there’s baseball, there will be GIFs. And so, to preview which players we’ll have our eyes on this year, we present to you: The 3rd Annual All-GIF Draft!

Those of you who’ve been with us know the somewhat self-explanatory drill: we go back and forth picking the players we think will produce the cream of the crop GIFs this year. We want to know — and want you to know! — who will be creating those moments that you just want to watch over and over, send to your friends, post on social media, and then keep watching. These intangible qualities might be a propensity for bat flips, a goofy sense of humor that shows, crazy displays of emotion, web gems, wicked pitch movement… you get the picture.

In years past, we’ve drafted against each other. But it didn’t feel right to keep the fun all to ourselves! So this year, we invited on some old and new friends of the podcast to draft “against” us: Shakeia Taylor, Hannah Keyser, Meg Rowley, and Jake Mintz and Jordan Shusterman of Céspedes Family BBQ. They each dropped in for a pick to create a real powerhouse of a team, and maybe we didn’t know what we were getting ourselves into going up against such incisive baseball minds. But we had a blast, and everyone brought their own unique perspectives and desires for what a GIF-able players looks like. Check out all 10 picks below, and make sure to listen to the entire podcast below.
